Reagents for normalizing mRNA for Microarray and cDNA Library Construction Purposes
DNA Technologies’s mRNA Normalization Kit is designed for normalizing
(reducing) high copy mRNA for microarray and cDNA library construction purposes. There are
approximately 20,000 to 50,000 genes per cell. Expression of each gene varies from 200,000
copies to 1 or fewer copies per cell. Such a range in representation of mRNAs makes it
extremely difficult to analyze hybridization of rare transcripts on microarray and identifying
rare message in cDNA libraries. Therefore, for rare transcript searching and analysis,
creation of equalized (normalized) cDNA is imperative.
- Abundant transcripts are decreased sharply
- Equalization of low copy cDNA population prior to labeling or library preparation
- Essential for discovery of rare transcripts
